Milates Wellness Programs

Milates Wellness is a complementary program to Milates fitness and caters to clients, who truly seek long-lasting positive lifestyle change that ultimately leads to the state of well-being. We neither promote nor support fad diets, quick fixes or magic pills. Not only are they ineffective, but they can also be very harmful. Sometimes, clients can reach desirable goals in a relatively short period; however, the most challenging part is sustaining the achieved change.

We are aware that long-lasting positive change usually requires changes in several domains of our life and full commitment. Therefore, we teach clients how to recognize and deal with all possible obstacles that could stem from different spheres of their lives. Once you overcome those obstacles and positive change becomes ingrained in your daily routines, it then becomes an inseparable part of your lifestyle that facilitates your path to well-being.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Marko M., MAO, LCPC, CCRC utilizes up-to-date approaches tied to cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness principles. These approaches are evidence-based and scientifically proven.

Marko believes that people contribute to their own psychological problems, as well as to specific symptoms, by the way they interpret events and situations. Therefore, he utilizes techniques that are based on the assumption that cognitions, emotions, and behaviors interact significantly and have a reciprocal cause-and-effect relationship.

Marko has successfully helped numerous clients who suffered from a wide spectrum of unhealthy emotions, such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and anger. He tailors these counseling approaches and their techniques to your unique personal needs. Marko is providing different modalities of psychotherapy, such as individual, couples, and group therapy.

Marko is an active therapist who asks questions and offers consistent feedback to guide the session’s focus. It is his belief that only the counseling process in which all parties are actively involved leads to a transformational long-lasting lifestyle change.

Individual Psychotherapy

If you want to overcome unhealthy emotions and/or dysfunctional behaviors, you may want to work with Marko to help you to identify and overcome those unhealthy emotions and to swap your dysfunctional behaviors and coping strategies with healthy ones. In this collaborative process, you will learn useful skills that will help you to deal not only with your current problems, but also with problems you might encounter in the future.

Marriage/Couples psychotherapy

If you want to improve your relationship or marriage, Marko will help you recognize and resolve conflicts. We will look at issues like communication, honesty, shared responsibilities, commitment, and mutual support. Marko will help you to reflect and reframe your relationship issues in order to be able to make thoughtful decisions about rebuilding your relationship or going your separate ways.

Marko provides couple counseling sessions in person in Chicago, IL and via Skype.

Group psychotherapy

If you face struggles within your relationships, a group counseling session is often the best place to get help with interpersonal concerns. If you have been experiencing loneliness or isolation, shyness, frequent arguments with people, discomfort in social situations, difficulty trusting others, and/or being easily hurt or offended, group counseling may be a good fit to your needs.

Marko provides group-counseling sessions in person in his office in Chicago, IL.

COACHING

Marko M., MAO, LCPC, CCRC utilizes the Co-Active Coaching Model. This means that he sees his coachees as naturally creative, resourceful and whole, and completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. Therefore, Marko uses powerful questions, listens and empowers to elicit the skills and creativity you already possess, rather than instruct or advise. He sees coaching as a collaborative process between you and him where both of you are active collaborators. This coaching relationship is an alliance between two equals for the purpose of meeting your needs. Marko utilizes a variety of tools and techniques from other disciplines, such as sociology, psychology, neuroscience, positive adult development, and career counseling with an aim towards helping you identify and achieve your personal goals.

Personal/Life Coaching

If you want to reach your full potential, Marko is partnering with you in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential. Marko asks powerful questions and empowers you to improve your performance and enhance your quality of life. He tailors his approach to your individual needs. Marko seeks to elicit solutions and strategies from you since he believes you are naturally creative and resourceful. Marko will provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that you already have within yourself.

Coaching individual session fee: $125 (60min) (in person/Skype/by phone)

Monthly coaching fee is $400, which includes one weekly phone or in-person 60 min session and unlimited text and email. It needs to be paid in full up front.

Well-Being Coaching

Marko will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and self-awareness necessary to help you reach your potential for health and happiness and overcome your self-imposed limitations. This is an integrative and interdisciplinary approach to health and well-being. Marko utilizes a scientific Anthropedia approach to help you increase self-understanding, manage stress, and find deeper contentment in your life. At the end of the program, you will walk away with enhanced personal well-being and expert knowledge on cutting-edge practices to foster your growth in well-being.

Coaching session fee: $155 (90 min)

Monthly wellbeing coaching fee is $275, which includes one bi-weekly in-person 90 min session, and 5 texts and emails. This needs to be paid in full up front.

Milates is worlds better than Pilates! I’d done Pilates in South Africa (2 yrs) & UK (6 months) before moving to Canada where I looked for somewhere that would offer Pilates close to my apartment. I found Milates and thought I’d try it. The basic methods of core strength being important is about the only similarity, otherwise Milates was a much more holistic form of exercise. After only 6 months I felt stronger, had better body definition & generally had more fun in the classes than I had had for any previous Pilates sessions. Mila was always very aware that most of us worked desk jobs & she’d have exercises to counteract the negative influences of sitting too long, of bad posture, & generally relieving stress and tension.
